テーラー東洋 SOUVENIR JACKET 「JAPAN MAP×鷲＆桜」 「サテン×サテン」リバーシブルスカジャン 新品です。
日本地図を挾んで鷲と龍が睨み合う1950年代の作品。
西の地名が多いことから、その周辺の米軍基地で販売されていた可能性が高い。
ボディの配色と対照的な赤いリブもヴィンテージに準(zhǔn)じた仕様。
リバーシブル面はプリントの鷲柄で、近代的な機(jī)械のプリントではなく、1色ずつ版を作り、その版を手作業(yè)で摺り重ねていく手捺染（ハンドプリント）によるもの。
手間と時(shí)間、そして高度な技術(shù)を要するため、當(dāng)時(shí)の生産も極少數(shù)。

鷲柄の方の全體的な下地のピンク色ですが、これも手捺染されています。

テーラー東洋のコレクションの中でも特に厳選した逸品をディテールにこだわり再現(xiàn)するのが、このスペシャルエディション。
橫振り刺繍で緻密に描かれた図案はもとより、アセテート生地の打ち込みを調(diào)整してヴィンテージと遜色なく仕上げ、ウールリブも舊式の橫編み機(jī)を使用して1著ずつ編み上げている。
リバーシブル仕様のファスナーについても50年以上前のファスニング機(jī)械を再稼働させ、當(dāng)時(shí)と同じ手曲げのものを再現(xiàn)。
テーラー東洋の前身である港商（こうしょう）商會(huì)のラベルを使い、ヴィンテージスカジャンの最盛期を彷彿とさせる仕上がりとなっている。

※港商 SPECIAL EDITIONのスーベニアジャケットは、洗濯による生地のスリップや色落ちに対応するため、50年代當(dāng)時(shí)の生地よりもクオリティーをアップし、作製しておりますが、このコレクターズ?セレクションは當(dāng)時(shí)と同じ規(guī)格で作られているため、生地の打ち込みが非常にあまく、デリケートに織られています。
染色も現(xiàn)在主流の反応染料ではなく、當(dāng)時(shí)と同じ顔料染料で染められており、色も均一に染まらず、色ムラ、色落ち、色焼けによる褪色がおきやすい素材です。
ウールリブに関しても、當(dāng)時(shí)と同じ規(guī)格で舊式の橫編み機(jī)を使用し一著ずつ手作業(yè)で編んでおります。
このリブは縮みやすく、防蟲加工のされていないウールリブですので取り扱いには注意が必要です。

A work from the 1950s in which an eagle and a dragon stare at each other across a map of Japan. Since there are many city names of the western part of Japan in the map, it is highly likely that the jackets were sold at the US military bases in the area. The red rib that contrasts to the body color is also vintage-inspired.
On the reverse side it has an eagle “printed” on sleek acetate fabric. It is still printed by hands using primitive printing machines with printing screens prepared for each color. This requires unimaginable labor and time. Therefore, the number of the jackets produced at that time was only small, and as a result the number of existing jackets now is very little.
“KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION
The “Special Edition” collection is a superior version of Tailor Toyo Sukajan that is an absolute reproduction of vintage souvenir jackets originated in the early days of post WWII. The intricate artworks are depicted in details by the experienced craftsmen with the vintage embroidery machines. The 100% wool rib that is purposely knitted loose by the primitive knitting machine in the same manner the rib of vintage jackets was done. The zipper with two pullers meant for reversible jacket is duplicated by using the 50-year-old vintage fastener machines. The special jacket has a woven label of “Kosho & Co.” which is a predecessor company of Toyo Enterprise, all the details of the day built in.
